PERELLI - Rev. Dr. Robert J., CJM Entered into rest on August 2, 2022. Ordained in 1976, Father Bob was a Roman Catholic priest and a member of the Eudist Fathers. Father Bob served as the weekend priest at St. Joseph University Church in Buffalo, New York for over 25 years, where he was known as a fascinating and memorable preacher. Father Bob was the Founder and CEO of The Center for Family Systems Theory, offering consulting services to family-owned businesses, not-for-profit organizations, and communities of faith focused on the understanding of functional and human relationships. He was also the Founder and President of the former AIDS Family Services, a leader in providing counseling services and pastoral care to people with or affected by HIV/AIDS. A gifted educator, Father Bob was the former Vice President for Mission Integration at D’Youville College and served as the Campus Minister at D’Youville College and Nardin Academy for many years. Father Bob had a deep commitment to volunteer work locally and abroad, having counseled families of children affected by cancer for many years, participating in extended mission trips to developing countries, and most recently finding a new passion volunteering at a local soup kitchen. Father Bob is the loving son of the late John J. Perelli and Carmella D. Martone; beloved brother of John J. Perelli, Jr. (Joyce), Camille A. Rozanski (Daniel); and adored uncle of Katherine Lanning, Kenneth Perelli, Elizabeth Wade, Lauren Molenda, and Jillian Schlieder; and best friend of Martin Demmerley. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Response to Love Center at ResponseToLove.org or The John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital of Buffalo Foundation designated to the Stone’s Buddies Program in honor of Father Bob. On Saturday, August 13, 2022, a public visitation will be held at St. Joseph University Parish, at 3269 Main Street, in Buffalo, from 10 o’clock in the morning until 12.
